Lead Teacher (BK-12) 

 

Summary - Lead Teacher (BK-12):

The lead teacher serves as a liaison between the Howell Public Schools and Paideia Learning. This person is on-site at Paideia, representing Howell Public Schools, working with Highlander Virtual Paideia Learning (“HV Paideia Learning”) students and staff. The Lead Teacher facilitates a variety of Howell Public School components in conjunction with Paideia Learning.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Lead Teacher (BK-12): 

Pupil Accounting Mentor (6-12)

 

Summary - Pupil Accounting Mentor (“Mentor”) (6-12): 

The Mentor facilitates communication among HPS TORs, Paideia staff, HV Paideia Learning families, and the HVS Lead Administrator. The Mentor monitors student progress in courses with regular, two-way communication consistent with pupil accounting requirements, and supports students staying on course with the pace of the class. The Mentor communicates concerns for students directly with the Paideia leadership team. The Mentor supports students through monitoring and communication.

Teacher of Record (“TOR”) 6-8

 

Summary - Teacher of Record (“TOR”) 6-8:

The TOR (6-8) works with HV Paideia Learning students in grades 6-8 on-site. The TOR works with the course content and collaborates directly with Paideia lab instructors to provide instructional support for students and assess student learning. The TOR is responsible for reporting outcomes in relation to student grading/auditing.
